PH v8.x accessing Interbase via ODBC

We are using AIX with Datadirect to connect to MS Sql.

Thank you for the information. However my question is if somebody has
tried to access a newer version of IB using PH 8.x in any platform. In
our case we are running in AIX, and the latest version that PH supports
native access to IB 4.0 is 8.23D7. Also to my seems very interesting if
Cognos enables the ODBC access to any DB.
