The issue is that powerhouse does its own deblocking of data.
If you remove the carriage returns from the file you will be ok
You just need to ensure that the file length is correct.

Subject: Help Needed: Cognos Powerhouse. Accessing Flat File in Power
House
Hi ,
I need your help in Powerhouse. Actually i am very new to this
technology.
I work on a Unix system on which Cognos Powerhouse is installed.
I have a text file( flat file) which contains a list of records with
single
item(call SRC). I need to access this data, and for that i need to put
this
data in a subfile and access through Powerhouse. I created a empty
subfile
with required structure and replaced the subfile with the text file
mv VENDORS.txt DUNS_EXTRACT.sf
and tried to access it using quiz, and results were ambiguous(one
record
was split in two lines).
For eg if the record SRC was EA3F446
while doing i got the results in two lines:
EA3
F446
Which is
please tell me how to convert this txt file to a subfile.
I'd be really grateful to you if you can help me in this
Thanks and Regards,
Vamsi
