I'm afraid that 7.10 is part of the pre-Oracle era of PowerHouse on VMS.
7.10 will access Rdb (now Oracle Rdb) but not the Oracle 9i/10g family.
To access these Oracle databases from PowerHouse on OpenVMS you will
need to upgrade to the current PowerHouse 8.40D1 release...

...then the location and platform your Oracle 9i database is running on
is irrelevant, so long as you have the appropriate Oracle 9i Client
software installed on your OpenVMS box.

We are a LONG time powerhouse customer but have always used RMS records

We now have an new Oracle 9i application that we would like to have
read-only access thru powerhouse to interface with RMS records -
Our environment is powerhouse is 7.10.E - VMS 7.2 - Oracle 9i on
Windows 2000
Can I read the oracle tables thru powerhouse ? If so, what needs to be
done ?
