PH and DB2 on HPUX Problems

I remember having to do some testing with DB2 via a ODBC connection but I
don't know if this is still an option in PDL; have you tried this route, you
may have better results.

Regards, Joe.

Thanks Ken, I hear you on the Eloquence strategy... but DB2 is our corporate
standard and the decision was not mine...

Now its my job to get DB2 working with PH...

Sorry dude, I can't help you with DB2.

But I have a question, why you didn't go with Eloquence on the HP-UX for
quick migration

Subject: PH and DB2 on HPUX Problems

Hi all,

I am new to this list and I was wondering is anyone could help me out.

We are migrating from an HP3000 PH 8.19.C1/IMAGE/KSAM to PH on the 9000
version 8.43.D1

We have also decided to go with DB2 as the back end database.

DB2 Version is: DB2/HP64 8.2.3

We are getting the following error when we try to access a table in the
Database.

*W* SQL START DBE error (TEST)

DMS-E-YV_LOADSGIFAILED, Unable to load the 'd2dba' gateway. Please ensure
that

the database software is configured correctly and is supported on this
version

of the operating system.

This is the dictionary DATABASE statement in the PDL file.

Dictionary Statement:

 DATABASE TEST TYPE DB2 &

         OPEN "TESTA" &

         USERID "user" PASSWORD "password"

Has anyone here come across this on the list?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can solve this problem connect PH
to the DB2 database?

Thank you all in advance and we look forward to your advice.

Regatds,

Jim
