Reading a flat file with Cognos

Or, if you are able to take multiple steps with it, import it into Excel and
have Excel spit out an undelimited ascii file.

You have a couple of choices:

Define the file in the dictionary with delimiter fields
Define a file in the dictionary with 1 big field, then
define statements with  a repeated delimited field etc...
