Sort file limit -- QTP 843D

Peter,
Perhaps using an indexed subfile would work? I don't know if the subfiles
under 8.43 would go over 2g, but if they do then setting up an indexed
subfile will give you far faster execution than sorting all of those
records. When you read the subfile the records get read in the order of the
index, which gives you your sort, with much less overhead than the sort
process.

Subject: Sort file limit -- QTP 843D
Hi all:
Does anybody know of a way to have QTP 843D get by what appears to be a
2G limit on the sort process. HP UX 11? A run time parameter or an
environment variable
would be nice.
# of records. = 4,437,271
rec size = 584
file size = 2,591,366,264
Even though I have PHTEMP point to a very large file system.
I get :-
Insufficient disk space for sort.
Regards,
Peter
