Hi,
INFO:
1. Running Axiant thin client from end user XP PC's to our Appliction server
makes that for each user a PH8SRVN.exe process is started.
-> As normal.
2. The apps server has:
- Powerhouse 8.41D1;
- The full Axiant 3.41D1 Build 2197-59;
- Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with SP1;
- MS SQL Server 2000 SP4.
BUT:
3. This said, for some reason these processes are left behind when the user
exists our App normally.
-> If they restart a new PH8SRVN.exe becomes active and the user can work as
normal.
=> However the old PH8SRVN.exe continues to exist.
4. When using lmtools / Status / List All Active Licenses we can see that a
user only active with there last logon still uses two PH8-NT-RUNTIME, two
PH8-NT-THIN-CLIENT-ACCES and also two PH8-NT-ODBC-DATA-ACCESS licenses.
Anyone experience with how to remove left over PH8SRVN.exe processes?
-> We can kill them but I hope for an automatic setting, i.e. timeout or
similar.
=> ??
Regards,
Bert
