Yep. That is plan B.    ;)
 
Thanks anyway. I've already done it with a prepass to create a subfile
and then using that subfile linked to the primary table. A display
saying that duplicate entries will be ignored should teach the users.

I don't think it can be done using the CHOOSE statement alone. You'd
have to put in a front end of some sort to do that for you. A quick
screen or a prepass that would take the values and write them uniquely
to a subfile or some such thing.
