Unique CHOOSE values

The quick answer is no, depends upon what you want to do, you could 
identify a unique key value but it is a 2 pass thing.

Another alternative is if you are using a RDBMS you could write a cursor to 
return DISTINCT that way only 1 values is returned for the choose
