Did you close the file between the first put and second put?

Quick won't close the file unless you explicitly ask it.

Subject: Issue with reset of file equations

Hiya,

I'm new to the list an am hoping that someone out there can help me on this
one..its wrecking my head.... I have searched everywhere and can't find the
cause of the issue or a suggestions to fix it.

So if anyone would be able to have a quick look at this and let me know if
you can give me any ideas on where to look...I would be very very grateful

background

Running HP3000 MPEX
Have a quick screen that gets a file name variable from a table, then
sets the file equation (file is a message type file)

File mlgt335A = <file name variable>
Then a reset mlgt335A is issued.

The issue is that even in one session no matter how many times I set
and reset the file equation it stays set to the first equation that was

set (first time screen is ran)

I have issued a listeq in the quick screen to see the file equations
and they are OK

First time in the screen if i listeq I get FILE MLGT335A=MLGT335K
second time into the screen (same session) I get after a listeq FILE
MLGT335A=MLGT335F

but when I PUT the data to this file (just after I LISTEQ) the data
onlt gets written to MLGT335K....I have done a listeq after the reset
and the file equation is gone...I can't see what I'm doing wrong...any

ideas...

thanks a million
Anne
