QSHOW: how to show details on an element for a specific database

It could be that the element is associated with a non-RDB record, these
require elements on which to base record items. If this is the case,
presumably both the record item and table column will use the same defaults.

Elements are logical entities and aren't directly associated with anything.
Rather, when you have a database column that has the same name as an
element, the column takes the properties of the element for things like
editing and formatting.

I don't think you can associate an element with a specific database,
whatever is there is being use by all databases. What makes you think that
the element you see is database specific ?
The only explanation might be that your element appears in the dictionary
source code after the database statement associated with the database of
interest; this might mean that the element, although present in the
dictionary, isn't being used by your database - if so, you could always move
the element statement.
Regards, Joe.

Hi gang,
I am trying to get detailed information about a particular column in a
database, using QSHOW.
I am trying things like ...
show ele actual_qty of order_detail
but I get syntax errors on the [of] verb.
I can do ...
show ele actual_qty
but it brings me information for the column, from a totally different
database
I also tried ...
show ele actual_qty IN order_detail but again I get errors.
Thank you all.
