Printer Question - AXIANT 4GL - A3 Size Reports

I had the same problem about 7 years ago when I was working with Axiant
2.3 (if I remember correctly).
 
I understand you run thin client on a Windows server. The solution I am
suggesting assumes the printer will be connected to the server. It will
probably work if it is connected to a Windows machine which is a printer
server.
 
Yes, there is no driver for matrix printers but you can use a driver
called "Generic / Text only" or something similar to this. This driver
does not do any formatting of the output (unlike the drivers for laser
printers, for example) it just takes the text output produced by quiz
and prints it.
 
You will probably need to play with the printer properties (from the
server), maybe change some option on the SET REPORT DEVICE command of
quiz (you would do that anyway I guess), and several trial and error
print tests to ensure that the output is ok. But it will work. There is
no need to replace these printers.
 
Probably you will also have to persuade the infrastructure guys that
this is worth trying (this was most of the work in my case). Whatever
you need you can ask me.

Dear Gurus,

Quick Intro: I've migrated a PH/MPEIX application to AXIANT4GL/WINDOWS
(Thin Client).
 
The printers currently in use in MPEIX are 
         (1) HP 2566 C 
and  (2) HP 2563 A.
 
These dot matrix printers doesn't seem to work with Windows. The
infrastructure guys say that no Windows XP drivers are available for
these printers. 
 
My problem is, these printers are printing A3 size reports.
Can anyone help me in knowing the best replacement for these printers in
Windows XP/2003 to print A3 reports. 
I don't have the option of reformatting the reports to A4 size.
 
I'd appreciate your efforts to help me out of this issue.
