*W* Record ... is not updateable message

Just off the top - is this a view, or is there no unique key? If the row is not uniquely identifiable, QDESIGN may not let you update. Try switching to a CURSOR statement and use the KEY option. Of course there may be something specific in the database to disallow writing.

G'day all

I am a bit rusty on PH these days (too much time spent
on the *dark* side) and I am humbly asking for your
assistance. :)

Environment:  WinNT, SQL Server, PH 8.41

Concern:  When trying to create a screen in QDesign I
get the following warning:

The database syntax in the PDC uses a SQL Server login
that has full read & write rights in the database
DB_CHK.

Why is this record not updatable?  Has it anything to
do with the ASYNC=0 attribute?  If so where do I
change this?
