Existing customers can still purchase licenses for matured products, however they must sign a waiver of liability recognizing that support has ended. Contact your sales rep for details.

Can one still buy PH 7.10.G OpenVMS Alpha licenses, even though support for
this was stopped as per 31 May 2003?

As per my previous post (and Chris and Joe) there should be no need to
recompile PowerHouse screens, runs, and reports assuming everything else is
the same (directory structure, file locations, etc). The only issue might be
3GL calls from external subroutines and any COMMAND usage that is specific
to one box versus the other.

G'day Steve
I believe as the VAX is a 32 bit processor and the
Alpha is 64 bit you will have to recompile. 32 Bit
compiled apps (executables) will run on the Alpha but
I don'y know about PH because is it really only
semi-compiled.
Instead of re-compiling you could simply run the
source. What is the client's aversion to the
re-compile? Do they think the source is incomplete or out-of-date?
BTW, did HP release OpenVMS for the Itanium processor
yet? Will PH run in that environment?
