PH licensing

the license file contents differ in format between PH7 and PH8, so each must
have a separate server; but they are named differently and do not see each
other so they can happily run on the same box.

The problem is predicting which of the four boxes is least likely to fail :)
which is presumably why all four boxes are being licensed independently.

There is nothing to stop all four boxes being served from a single license
manager if that's what is required, but then you have to get into failover
routines with backup license keys should one of the other three have to
become the license manager.

Regards, Joe.

G'day Fredi

Can't you use a single license server and have all
users point to the license file on that server via a
UNC? I assume there must be at least 1 server that is
always available to users via a network connection.

Pardon my ignorance but this may only work on NT
boxes.
