Do you have a copy of the tutorial that comes with Axiant 4GL?   It could be
very helpful in you learning process.  If you don't have the original
documentation that came with the software it can be found on the install
CD-ROMs.  If not there It is probably online at Cognos Support.

  My department has asked me to document and fix various problems we are
having with a application created in Axiant.  The person who made the move
off the old vax has left leaving me with a working application, code but no
documentation.  As we are also planning on putting in a new server I have to
work out how the application is working so we can move everything across
with no problems.  As I have never used Axiant or powerhouse before I have
decided to make a new (small/quick) application to get my head around it
all.  The problem I am having however is how do I connect a new application
to a database running on Sybase SQL Anyware.  This will be useful as I am
planning on having the old database running on another computer for when I
make modifations to the Axiant code without touching the live database.

  Anyone able to give me some quick help?
