I did find this 'Received: from CCIII.net (geek-5.ras-1.sher.wy.vcn.com
[209.193.71.5])'. Can it be used to trace the person in some way, or at
least get them into some 'hot water' :-) ?

At this time I am assuming that this isn't an innocent intermediary.
