you could also analyse the fields being written to the subfile and replace
them with smaller length defines where possible. The smaller the subfile
record length, the more records you can write into the 2Gigbytes available.

other than upgrade to a version supporting the new Cisam version which
allows files larger than 2Gig, I think the only option is to archive out
unneeded records from the problem Cisam file and then rebuild it. 

I am assuming it is a Cisam file that gives the error.

Hello all 

We have just run into what appears to be a 2 gig
limit. I thought this was only a SORT limit, but the
request we are running does NOT have a sort in it.

The version is 8.13.D (UNIX)

I remember someone having similar issues/solutions.

The file size after the failure is 2147483550
and the error message is "Invalid argument (ERRNO 22)"

Any ideas?
