My apologies to all the members here if I offended
you, that was not my intention. I was working on an
FTP script at the same time as I was writing the
pseudo code for the member.
I have a habit of getting testy when people question
my approach to coding. I believe it is a sign of a
true propeller-head programmer.
I spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of PH
and the only thing that bugs me more is people telling
me Java is a better language…..OH PLEASE! Tell me
again why I should wait 3 weeks for a program that
takes less than a day to produce in PH.
As for Ghost screens that Joe described. There are
only a few times I use a ghost screen:
1) When I want to trap a user in a screen and not let
them out until they do what they are supposed too.
Like enter values up to 100%, or disburse a total $
amount completely.
2) When I want to run Quick in Batch
3) When I need to do a specific process that never
gets displayed but gets called from many locations (ie
security look up, etc) and always sends back the
results to the calling screen.
I’m sure there are other instances but in this case I
thought it was over kill.
Sorry again folks. I am only trying to steer y'all in
the right direction. This is still the best Language
around in my opinion.
