Roger,

I don't know about your environment, but on the AS/400 you can force every record to be written via the command to create or change a physical file (table), so perhaps you'll have something similar available to you.

Good luck.

Subject: Put for Designer File

PH 7.10.G2, OpenVMS 7.1, RMS

I am using PUT verbs to a DESIGNER file in Quick. It appears that the records do not get written directly to the file at the time of the PUT. Does anyone know if there is an output buffer that only gets flushed periodically? Is there a way to force a flush after every PUT?

Thanks!
