Hi
DCL (dos control language) is faily simple, but can do what other o/s's can
do, the main thing we found was that we had to write a program to convert
files to fixed length or varaible length depending on requirements, that
was the main limitation.
Other than that it was faily easy,,,, well almost.
The other thing we found was that at lease on VMS, with RMS files, allowed
a lot of things to work, the syntax using an RDB had to be tightened up and
be more technically correct.
