Luan,

The Canadian grocery giant Sobey's lost $CAD 350 Million on an failed
SAP implementation.

The automated migration solution from PowerHouse to .NET and Java is
probably from Core Technologies (www.coremigration.com). The problem
with an automated migration is that the code generated may be difficult
to maintain.

Luan

I have not yet heard of ANY SAP application that is "straigh forward and
cost effective". The National Australia Bank is in the hole to the tune
of AUD400 MILLION $$$$$ caused by a bad SAP implementation. (The
Australian, ITT section, sometime last week).

The post is appropriate in my view (in the same way as job ads are).
It wasn't particularly 'disguised' - it was openly from the Stronghold
producer.
When we need to censor the competition here, it's definitely time to
give up on PH.
We don't need regular advertising, but it's good to know the options -
perhaps it should go in a FAQ or something.
Some of us will choose migration sooner or later, or have it thrust upon
us, rightly or wrongly.

Chris

That sounds like a sound argument in favour of discussing alternatives,
rather than censoring them, and for keeping them here, rather than in
some kind of FAQ.

Where else are you going to find informed and unbiased information on
'where do I go from here' ?
