Can't access SQL Server with Qdesign

one other thing, I found the database syntax format below in some old notes,
database pubs type odbc null values allowed open "pubs"
owner dbo userid "test" password "test"
whereas your syntax is below,
Database DW Type ODBC NULL VALUES ALLOWED Open "DM_Common_UPD"
Unless you have left out details, it might be worth adding more syntax

To all good people who responded, this is the error
I'm getting in Qshow:
> sho records in DW
*E* SQL Access error (DW)
DMS-E-GENERAL, A general exception has occurred during
operation 'attach
database'.
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Dialog failed
The weird thing is I was able to run a simple Quiz
against a specific table in this database and this
time I got data back without an error.
The PDL syntax for attaching to this database is:
Database DW Type ODBC NULL VALUES ALLOWED Open
"DM_Common_UPD"
