File limit reached in Quick screen

There are at least two options that I know of,

1.

 if you are accessing an RDB, SQL calls such as 'insert into table., update
table.' do not contribute to the file open count, so you could use this
format for simple updates and remove the file syntax for the table/s

2.

the ghost screen option, where you move some files into menu screens or
screens that have nothing to display, and you bring items back in temps;
typically run from the postfind proc, you can also use them to update the
same files from the pre/postupdate procs.

Hi all, 

Tried to compile a Quick screen, but get the following error 
*E* Too many files specified. The limit per screen is 31 files. 

Is there workaround for this, any place where I can reset the limit or do I
have to try to rewrite this rather complex screen...

I'm running PowerHouse 8.19.D7 on a HP3000.
