<P>could it be that record EDK_TEST&nbsp;already exists in the dictionary files ? Have you searched for string EDK_TEST&nbsp; in the PDL source files and/or in the compiled dictionary files, or looked via Qshow ?</P>
<P>I think the search syntax would be 'search dictnam*.p* EDK_TEST'; in any case I think there is a command form or&nbsp;qualifier&nbsp;which tells how many bytes were searched.</P>
<P>Also, have you tried using the 'checksum' command/function to compare good dictionaries with tha bad dictionary files ? perhaps the dictionary only part compiled due to error which would result in different file sizes.</P>
<P>You could even try the FDL analyse command which may give more accurate file size details.<BR></P></DIV>
