You have two good options. =20

1) You can actually run the Powerhouse AIX version on the iSeries.  The
iSeries supports the PASE environment which is 99% AIX compatible.  We
routinely move AIX code to the iSeries with usually without any =
recompile.
DB2 on the iSeries is very slightly different, so there will likely be =
some
minor issues there.  Support is an issue you will have to take up with
COGNOS.  However, there are no serious technical issues.

2) I don't know the details, but I undersand that AIX is now or will =
soon be
supported on the iSeries in an LPAR.

We're running our custom PowerHouse-developed application on an IBM =

and the AS/400 as being very similar:  rock solid, bug-free, low =

marketplace.

We're reluctant to drop either PowerHouse or the AS/400, but my company =

starting to look at our options.   What's your recommendation for a =
