Short term PH gig in UK

My great-great grandfather on father's side was a
seamen in the British Navy from 1858 to 1870. He came
to P.E.I., Canada in 1870.  Does that count for
anything in the eyes of British Immigration
Officials??  Blue?

If your serious about working in the UK, a friend told
me that if you 
have family ties via parents for grandparents being
past citizens, that 
you might be able to get a special visa without the
usual hassles. I 
personally never checked into it. I just thought it
might be something 
to look out for. Perhaps phone the local UK consulate
or embassy.
