Is there any problems or anything to be aware of by doing a GET on the sa=
me
file F in a numbered designer procedure? In other words, in the designer
procedure I would run screen B, GET file F, display field.
Thanx Lorry.

The REFRESH option doesn't force a re-retrieval of the data, just a
re-display of whatever's in the buffer. What you need to do is force a
re-retrieval of the data on file. You may have to do this procedurally.

Hi,
This problem involves the same file F declared on screen A as reference
and on screen B as primary occurs 12. On screen A before the field that
needs to be displayed from file F is a subscreen AUTO statement which
calls screen B where they enter the various pieces of info.
My problem seems to be when they return from screen B to screen A the
display fields from file F reference are not refreshed. The file
statement has the access method (via, using) declared on it and the field
statement has DISPLAY REFRESH on it.
We are running VMS 7.2-2, PH 7.10.G1, RDB 7.0-1.
I can provide more detail as to screen, file, fields if it helps.
Thanx
Lorry
