I haven't done this with RDB but I suspect others have.
You might be able access the database metadata though QUIZ.
So it is a matter writing a QUIZ program to display your table
information.

Trap the output from QSHOW and then in QUIZ
link the column name in the report to RDB$COMMENTS

You also may want write the field descriptions to a PDL file.

Element ROW_IDENT Numeric 18 default datatype integer size 8 &
      Description &
"Comment: ---> This column is updated by the  trigger SA_ADD_INDENT."

This will make your comments available through QUICK's help
facility.
