Tony, I'm sure the guys at Cognos can answer that question for you, but have
you considered migrating your application(s) to Powerhouse PC? Leaving your
data on the HP3000 you could still run your utilities and back-ups as
normal, but move the app down to the pc level giving your users individual
processing speeds.
I migrated a small app from a data-general (don't laugh) for a client and it
works much faster. You could at that point break into other PC development
tools, extending the life of your application (Web, Axiant, etc).
At least your exposure is reduced, and your cost. You could always swap out
the HP data server at a later date for something else.
This is my first time responding to a message here so if I'm doing it wrong,
sorry.

All,
We are planning to keep our Hpe3000 969 indefinitely and planning an O/S
upgrade to 7.0 in the near future. Unfortunately, we have let our support
contract expire with Cognos. Does anybody out there know if PowerHouse
v8.19C4 will run on MPE 7.0?
Thanks,
Tony Gil
