<P>it may be the case that there are worked examples of handling both Oracle and SQLServer calls to stored procedures and stored functions at the Cognos knowledge base web site.&nbsp; If the new Oracle result set syntax is similar to SQLServer/Sybase&nbsp;you may get a head start there.<BR><BR></P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Charles,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;From the 8.3 documentation.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;"[RESULT] SET item [,item]...
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Limit: This option is valid for SYBASE SQL Server databases only.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Only one result set can be
<DIV></DIV>&gt;returned from a stored procedure."
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Perhaps the phantom PowerHouse 8.4 New Features book Bob referred to
<DIV></DIV>&gt;says differently.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Bob, where does one find that on the Cognos site? The latest
<DIV></DIV>&gt;documentation I could find was for 8.3.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;If you can perform what you really want with the returned contents
<DIV></DIV>&gt;of procedure calls, that seems to work ok. Just make sure you
<DIV></DIV>&gt;initialize your PL/SQL variables. Since I haven't used PL/SQL
<DIV></DIV>&gt;previously, I'm not sure if it is usual for the variables to keep
<DIV></DIV>&gt;old content from previous calls, as it seems to from Powerhouse
<DIV></DIV>&gt;calls.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Perhaps it is possible for you to create a view that calls packaged
<DIV></DIV>&gt;functions to do what you want.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Good luck.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;

<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;More specifically, does the Powerhouse implementation on Oracle
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;allow for
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;returning result sets from stored procedures?
