7.19 ?? - Either 7.09 (non-y2k) or 7.29 C8 or higher (probably).

There were some screen refresh issues that I remember with Quick in 7.09 and
7.29 that had to do with cascading screens and screen mapping. I do not know
if these issues continue to exist in the current 8.39 product.

Look into the amount of memory Reflection has set aside for screens and if
the screens are mapped to (stacked in) terminal memory using syntax.. ON
LINE nnn FOR nnn ). Also check your QKGO file for configured lines of
terminal memory. Ensure the stacking doesn't exceed the max lines used.

In Reflection, to configure the amount of memory use the
SETUP/DISPLAY/Screen tab. The amount of memory is set using 8K blocks, I
think the default is 8 which means 64k of memory is allocated by default.
Your application would consume more than this if it is using terminal
mapping (screen stacking) and/or displayed large amounts of data/graphics. I
think the maximum number of blocks is 64 or 128.

If the screen stacking and QKGO parms check out fine then try setting this
value higher and redo your test. If the larger amount of terminal memory
makes no change and your application doesn't exceed the limits of the use
terminal memory in QKGO with screen stacking then the problem is isolated to
PH Quick.

We are trying to conduct performance a test of a third-party application by
using Reflection macros
to repeat a series of steps. We find that when we get to the 141st
iteration, the PowerHouse QUICK
screen doesn't completely repaint when returning to the main menu. Any
number of iterations fewer
than 141works fine. The steps we are testing are:

   1) going from the main menu to a sub menu by typing menu number
   2) going into a subscreen by typing number from menu
   3) issuing a F (find) command at the action field
   4) entering data for find which retrieves record
   5) entering ^ at the action field to back up one menu
   6) entering ^ at the next action field to bring us back to the main menu.

We have similar results in other screens in our menu system, but the number
of iterations until it
fails varies by screen.

Thanks in advance for any insights.
