Conversion to octal

the lexical below will give you the group and member number of the uic, if
you want to use a lexical and just get the octal number you might try
f$fao("!OL",<number>)
I agree with Chris that using dcl would probably be much easier and you
could do many other uaf account specific things.

Presumably you're writing dcl to do this (account creation) ?
(I wouldn't mess with sysuaf any other way)
How about: 'f$fao("!%I",<number>)'
