You should be able to say SET DATABASE database. If your table names are
unique, then using the SUBDICT=SEARCH program parameter tells QDESIGN to
search the schema for the tables.

If you have more than one database defined in a PH dictionary (v830d on
OpenVMS), you must qualify each item in an access statement with the
relevant database.
ie: "access table1 IN sampledatabase".
Can you specify a default database, so that when you are doing ad-hoc
queries you don't have to qualify. (just trying to cut down on typing).
