Quick in batch mode

Hi

Thanks for the interesting discussion but could somebody tell me if the
environment variable TERM applies to Windows version of quick? (I am away
from the office and cannot test it but want to sleep soundly knowing that
it will work) (ps I was using TERM=VT220 under HP-UX).

Thanks

Jeff

<smaller>My understanding is that DQ's are a bit smarter than VMS
mailboxes</smaller>

<smaller>(don't know about the others !) </smaller>

<smaller>DQ's are defined in the PH dictionary and are 'proper' files
with fields</smaller>

<smaller>etc and can be written and read to normally.</smaller>

<smaller>The thing that sets them apart from normal DB files is that
they are</smaller>

<smaller>self deleting - the act of reading each record in them (with
Quick, Quiz</smaller>

<smaller>or QTP) deletes it with no other programming overhead.</smaller>

<smaller>Sounds like vms mailboxes, mpe msg files and unix pipes to me
:-)</smaller>
