Hi Jeff,
In similar circumstances we use a utility TOFIX, that I wrote years back in
Turbo Pascal, now re-compiled under Windows XP.
>From its help :
Converts a variable-length file to a fixed-length file
ScanConsult IT-Partners www.scanconsult.dk
Usage : tofix <record-length> <infile> <outfile>
Since the list server strips attachments (I think), I have sent the utility
to you off-list.

Mange hilsner / With kind regards
Ole Hansen

Subject: How can I get a fixed length record in Windows
Hi
I need to do a dir command to a file, then read this file in PH. The record
has been defined as 80 char, however the dir command gives a variable length
record. Does anyone have a Windows solution.
Ph841c on Windows 2000
Thanks
Jeff
