PowerHouse will support Eloquence on HP-UX and NT/2000/XP in the upcoming
8.43D and 8.41D versions (available early in 2004). The field test (beta) is
starting this week. Eloquence support uses the same intrinsic calls as IMAGE
on MPE/iX. These calls are accepted by Eloquence which has an IMAGE
compatibility layer. Our support of Eloquence is designed to let HPe3000
customers migrate their PowerHouse applications using IMAGE to PowerHouse on
HP-UX or NT/2000/XP without having to migrate or change their file handling.
So Eloquence support will look like IMAGE support. We'll support version
B.07.00 of Eloquence and HP-UX 11.

Subject: Status of PowerHouse / Eloquence Port
Hi all,
Just wondering what the status is of Powerhouse running against Eloquence on
HP-UX. Anyone know? Anyone tried it? Does it use the standard Powerhouse
IMAGE access methods or does it use relational access via an ODBC?
Any idea on Powerhouse release level, Eloquence release level and HP-UX
release level required.
Many thanks,
Stefan Ziemer
