What I'd like to know is how some messages get through without having (what
I thought to be) the standard trailer added:

Subscribe: "subscribe" in message body to powerh-l-request@lists.swau.edu

Unsubscribe: "unsubscribe" in message body to

This list is closed, thus to post to the list you must be a subscriber.

Desmond,

Please put the word "PowerHouse" in your subject, or state your question
(briefly) in the subject, on messages sent to this list.

Otherwise some people (such as me) won't open your e-mail because it looks
like spam or a virus-distributor.

Thanks.

You could make the users' OpenVMS account a captive account if there
is no legitimate reason for them ever getting to the $ prompt. That way the
system will log them off rather than present them with DCL access.

It also means that if the devious users find another way to get to DCL, this
will also be blocked.

Cheers,
Phil

Subject: question

Hi
I am using POwerhouse 7.10.G3. on OpenVMS.
We have a POW main menu called Menu00 that our staff log on to and log off
from. When their session on the application is finished, they use PF4 to
jump out of menu00 , and get to the $ (operating system). They subsequently
logout with the lo command.

I would like them to be able to log off the machine without first going to
the $. Otherwise I would like to disable the functionality of the PF4 key on
the menu00 screen ONLY.

	Can you help?
Thanks DDH
