If I may clarify.
 
In the thread to which I alluded, arguments had been made which
I felt supported my main point - That being agreement with 
John Kvisli that the profession as a whole is shrinking.  
Therefore, I made the reference as a context-setting prologue
to my statement, not as a challenge or provocation.

I apologize to anyone who took it that way.
