Roger,
I assume that you are getting the 'Program terminated in an error state.
(CIERR 976)' message in the $STDLIST after Quick finishes and the rest of
the job is then flushed. Place a '!continue' immediately before the '!quick
...' command to prevent the job from aborting.
regards,

Subject: Quick - Fatal Error
Hello to All,
I am running on an HP3000 928RX
RELEASE: C.60.00 MPE/iX HP31900 C.16.01 USER VERSION: C.60.02
Powerhouse Version - 8.39.C
Scenario:
Batch Adjudication Process - run in batch mode -
A quick screen is executed in the batch job by running a command file that
invokes a qkgo file that identifies the quick screen to execute - PgmA
PgmA reads thru a subfile which holds all the claim numbers that need to go
through adjudication -
The adjudication process is a series of quick screens that pay, deny or put
the claim being processed in an edit status.
If a claim being adjudicated through these series of screens lacks some
information that the screen is looking for the
screen times out waiting for a response. When this happens quick reports
that the OS will be shutdown. I have been able to keep processing claims
regardless of this situation, but when it exits out of quick and back into
the batch job - the job just logs off without executing any other programs
or instructions following the exit from the quick screen (i.e. the command
file).
My ? is - how can I manipulate quick from not taking such extreme measures
when it times out so the batch job continues with what needs to be done
after returning form the quick screens.
Please do not respond with 'create a scrubber program to eliminate this from
happening' - there will always be a random claim here and there that will
make the quick screen time out.
How do you prevent quick from issuing a fatal error when it times out in
batch??
Appreciate your input and time into this matter -
Roger
