sql from vms

Here is a very kludgy way to do some very limited
things. If you have SQL 2000 it is free. I only did
this as a test, but it worked.

SQL 2000 allows you to set up a url that you can
execute sql commands against it.

The next piece of the solution is lynx, which is a text
based web browser. You can get lynx for VMS.

So ... you can use lynx to send sql to SQL 2000. You
can even output result sets to a file and then parse
them.

Very kludgy. Very cheap. (If you have SQL 2000 or the
MSDE 2000) Very limited.

But it works.
