On MPE/iX the LOGONID function returns a value in the <USER.ACCOUNT> format.
You also have the SIGNONACCOUNT, SIGNONGROUP, and SIGNONUSER functions
available to return the individual components of the LOGONID and the MPE/iX
group that the user has signed-in to (up to 8 characters each in length).

Best regards,
Conrad

Can I assume that, since the LOGONID function returns only 17 characters,
that the session name, if present, will not be returned? Session name is
the value that is contained in the system variable, HPJOBNAME. For example,
if I logon as LSB,USER.ACCOUNT, 'LSB' is the session name.

Thanks.
