I would check the stty settings. Make sure the <ESC> is not being
used for something else. As well as DC1, DC2, DC3, DC4
(Control- Q,R,S,T)
I would try
cat > mydata
<F8>
<Control D>
Hex dump of mydata
od -x mydata
If it looks like the escape sequence is showing up in mydata
then it should also be read by QUICK.
XmitFnctn(A) should be ON the default is OFF.
