HP3000 Migration Statistics

Why emulate OpenVMS on CISC? HP is well down the road on porting OpenVMS to
the Itanium processor and is due to complete the task late 2003. Last I
heard it was on schedule.

Anything is possible, I guess. But it's probably not
as hard to emulate VMS, which ran on CISC cpu's, to run
on other CISC cpu's, as compared to emulating RISC on CISC
(Itanium) cpu's.
