Yes, but this only works if you make the user go through all 18 fields
(using id same or whatever).
If they just want to modify the 17th, via fieldmark or action 17, then you
need a trigger on the 17th, or you have to make them visit them all.

18 nearly identical 1 line process procedures looks like the way to go - not
so hard with a decent editor, and not difficult to maintain.

Just to have the last word on output procedures: these are invoked for every
display verb, so you'd get the recalc done 18 times to initially display
each record - surely not what's wanted ?
