Thanks for the suggestions. Blue suggested a stored proc in the
database. Good idea except I forgot to specify HP 3000 environment and
Image doesn't support stored procs. Leonard Berkowitz suggested Excel -- I
might wish but it's not practical.
David Morrison suggested using SILENT fields and initiating the recalc from
there. That seems to me to be as much work or more than the 18 sets of
Procedure Output & Do ReCalc.
Chris Sharman suggests using Procedure Process rather than Procedure
Output. In this instance, I'm not sure it would make any practical
difference. The screen only allows FIND and the initial values are loaded
on the screen when the record is found. The user can change any of the 18
fields but can not update the values back to the database. The only field
being DISPLAYed is the field that's recalculated.
I'm planning to do the procedure code tonight. Has anyone suggested an
enhancement "ON TRIGGER" to Cognos for Quick? <JUST KIDDING!!!>
Thanks, again!
John
