Thanks for all the inputs - I have solved the problem.

I had put the process limit way to high and after I have made it smaller
there seemed to be enough QTP sort space.

I've had this problem turn up under different circumstances.

The last time it was because the logon I was using wasn't properly
configured to run Powerhouse. This won't be the case for you though.

The other circumstance was when there wasn't enough disk space on the disk
assigned for QTP sort space - it was a couple of years back and I don't
have
the notes to hand, so that's my best recollection.
