G'day Keld
I believe it is possible. We have some ASP applications that use stored
procedures to return result sets from SQL Server 2000.
There are some serious security holes in SQL Server 2000 SP1 and you should
upgrade to SP3 if you can. The latest version I'm running is 8.00.608.
I have found that PowerHouse provides pretty decent performance against this
database except for Quiz reports. Quick and QTP are fine but Quiz is as
slow as a sick dog even when utilising embedded SQL.
Regards,
Blue

Subject: Using the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Axiant 3.4 through an ODBC
interface
Hello.
We are using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP1 and accessing it through an ODBC
driver as the
database connection for Axiant v 3.4B.
In client server developing, we wish to put a great deal of intelligence on
the server, programmed
as stored procedures.
Using e.g. Sybase gives the possibility of using RESULT SETs returned from a
stored procedure in the database. Has anyone tried this with the MSSQL 2k
server?
And if so, have you succeeded in this.
And if no succes, it would be fine to have workaround procedure for this.
We would appreciate comment, answers and solutions for this.
Mange hilsner / With kind regards
Keld Pedersen
