Question: Is there a way to convert PowerHouse code into any
other language?

Jeff,
I am not quite sure what corners you're trying to cut with this, but in all
honesty, you're just going to have to invest a lot of time and resources
researching the many array of possibilities. What I mean by this is, you're
going to study what platform is right for you to receive the converted PH
code and why.
In our case we're slowly migrating a PH system to the VisualStudio platform
from Microsoft and by that I mean we're rewriting code from the beginning
using existing QKS, QZS and QTS sources for logic flow. Therefore there is
not point in trying to cut corners. If you want to port a PH system to
another platform, it literally means a total re-write of all the code to be
compatible with the new environment. There is simply no other way to do it.
Of course if you're referring to porting PH code into another machine THAT
UNDERSTANDS PH, then you may have a lot of the work cut out for you, but
even then, you're going to invest a lot of time making sure the new
platform understands your PH code.
Cheers

Hey Guy's (and Gal's)
Having just spent the last 12 mths using COBOL (and continuing,
shuddddderrrr), has anyone factored in the additional cost of maintenance,
of systems using other languages, into their change justification
assessment?
I was just looking at the CORE thingy and would like to see how much code
was needed to generate the comparable screens. The more code, the greater
the chance of logic bugs being added when trying to maintain the new code.
