Dictionary pet hates (was: Programmer Certification)

We had the reverse situation of converting a VMS based system to a
multi-platform system so physical names were limited to 8 characters. We got
around the cross-referencing problem by generating a text file from the pdl,
and using that for doing a search on either the Powerhouse name or the
physical name. It's worked fine, and well worth the initial effort.
